🍚 Dump & Bake Surf & Turf Dirty Rice
A quick and flavorful one-pan meal made with crawfish tails, ground meat, buttery rice, and French onion soup baked right into the dish. Easy, comforting, and packed with Louisiana-inspired flavor!
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb crawfish tails
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 2 cans beef consomme
- 1 can French onion soup
- 1 stick butter, sliced
- Optional: chopped onion
- Optional: chopped bell pepper
- Optional: salt-free seasoning blend
👩🏾🍳 Instructions
1. Prep the meat
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the meat until fully cooked. If using onion and bell pepper, sauté them with the sausage until softened.
2. Build the dish
Add uncooked rice to a baking dish. Pour in beef consomme and French onion soup, then stir in crawfish tails and cooked sausage mixture.
If desired, add a little salt-free seasoning blend for extra flavor.
3. Add butter
Place sliced butter evenly across the top of the rice mixture.
4. Bake
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 375°F for about 45–50 minutes, or until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
5. Fluff & serve
Remove from the oven, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve warm.
