1. Season the Roast
Pat the chuck roast dry.
Season generously with:

Rub the seasoning all over the roast to coat evenly.
2. Sear the Roast
Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Add a little oil and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
