  • Cook Time: 10 hours

  • Total Time: ~10 hours 15 minutes

  • Servings: 10–12

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (about 9 lbs)

  • Fixings (for stuffing the cavity):

    • Chopped celery

    • Chopped onion

    • Chopped bell pepper

    • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)

    • Garlic cloves

  • Tony’s Cajun Butter Injector Marinade

  • 1 can jerk seasoning (or jerk paste)

  • 1 cup olive oil or melted butter

  • Additional Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper (optional)

👩🏽🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Turkey

  1. Pat turkey dry.

  2. Season the outside generously with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper (optional but recommended).

2. Stuff the Cavity

Fill the inside of the turkey with celery, onion, bell pepper, garlic, and fresh herbs for maximum aroma and moisture during roasting.

3. Inject the Cajun Butter

Use Tony’s Cajun Butter Injector to inject marinade into:

  • Both breasts

  • Thighs

  • Drumsticks

  • Wings

  • Any meaty areas that need flavor

This is what makes it juicy ALL the way through.

4. Add the Jerk Butter Mixture

  1. In a bowl, mix jerk seasoning with 1 cup olive oil or melted butter.

  2. Pour the mixture over the turkey, making sure to get it:

    • Into the cavity

    • Under the skin (lift gently with a spoon or your hand)

    • Into small slits at the top of the turkey

  3. Massage more jerk seasoning onto the outside for extra flavor.

5. Slow-Bake

Place turkey in a roasting pan breast-side up.
Bake at 250°F for 10 hours, uncovered or tented with foil (your choice based on desired browning).

The low-and-slow method ensures:
✔ Extra tenderness
✔ Deep flavor penetration
✔ Juicy meat every time

🧈 Optional Finishing Touch

Broil for 3–5 minutes at the end for a crispy, caramelized skin.
