Brown Sugar Stew Chicken
  • 1-2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup chopped smoked sausage
  • 1 cup tender potatoes
  • Seasonings of choice 
  • 3 cups chicken broth or water

In a pan heat oil and add brown sugar. Stir until it makes a dark roux. Fry chicken thighs in roux adding sausage, potatoes, and vegatables once chicken begins to brown. Add water/broth with seasoning and let simmer for about an hour, until everything is tender. 

We used both Cuire Island Fire and Garlic and Herb in this recipe.
